Spring is Upon Us!
Hello everyone, I cannot help but be a little bit excited about Spring...I love the Spring, the sun starting to come out a bit more, the flower bulbs are peeking out from the remnants fo the snow and lo and behold-our Real Estate Market is waking up! I have seen some homes that have been on the market for a while starting to sell and of course some new listings are coming on. The Spring is always traditionally been the best time of the year if you are considering selling or buying. This year depite the economic conditions we are facing, I am hopeful and excited about our Spring Market. I attended the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board's AGM yesterday and was lucky enough to hear Cameron Muir-Chief Economist of the British Columbia Real Estate Association speak. He of course did speak about the "Recession" as labelled in our most recent budjet and how that effects the Real Estate Market. However he did make me feel somewhat hopeful about the next quarter and into 2010 for the Fraser Valley, explaining the buying power that people have now over previous years with the incredibly low interest rates and the vast amount of inventory out there for buyers to choose from. Our President of the Fraser Valley Board said it as well: “Those who don’t have to buy right now aren’t and they’re creating tremendous opportunity for those who are house-hunting,” says Kelvin Neufeld, president of the Board. “The ability right now for Fraser Valley REALTORS® to negotiate for their buyers is the strongest it’s been in over a decade.”
So if you are thinking about buying and selling, now is the time! If I can help you or someone you know, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me!
